Welcome to Lado Business English Specialists! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the online business English training services provided by Lado Management Consultants, Ltd. ("Lado", "we", "us", or "our") through our website, www.lado.com.tw, and associated platforms ("Service").

By registering for or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Service. To register, you must provide your full name, a valid email address, and a mobile phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Service Packages and Fees

We offer the following service packages. All fees are listed in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD).

Package 1: 12 sessions of 45 minutes each, to be completed within 12 weeks of the start date, for a total fee of $NT18,000.

Package 2: 18 sessions of 75 minutes each, to be completed within 18 weeks of the start date, for a total fee of $NT45,000.

Package 3: 72 sessions of 75 minutes each, to be completed within 72 weeks of the start date, for a total fee of $NT180,000.

The "start date" is the date of the first scheduled session. The start date can be deferred for up to three (3) months from the package purchase date.

3. Payment and Refunds

Payments must be made in full at the time of purchase via our designated third-party credit card payment gateway.

Cooling-Off Period: In accordance with Taiwan's Consumer Protection Act, you are entitled to a seven (7) day cooling-off period starting from the date of your package purchase. You may request a full refund within this period, provided you have not commenced your first session.

Refunds After Cooling-Off Period: After the 7-day cooling-off period, all fees are non-refundable except as may be required by applicable law.

Expiration and Rollover: Any sessions not used by the package expiration date will be forfeited. However, if you purchase a new package within three (3) days of the expiration date of your current package, any unused sessions from the expired package will be rolled over and credited to your new package.

4. Scheduling, Cancellation, and Rescheduling

Booking: You may book sessions using our online calendar system up to thirty (30) minutes before the desired start time, subject to trainer availability.

User Cancellation/Rescheduling: To cancel or reschedule a session without penalty, you must provide at least four (4) hours' notice through the online system. If you cancel with less than four hours' notice or fail to attend a scheduled session (a "no-show"), the session will be forfeited and deducted from your package.

Trainer Cancellation: If a Lado trainer cancels a session with less than four (4) hours' notice, the session will be credited back to your account, and you will receive one (1) additional bonus session as compensation.

5. Code of Conduct

You agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct:

Respect: Treat trainers and staff with professionalism and respect. Harassment, discrimination, abusive language, or threats are strictly prohibited.

Environment: Attend sessions from a quiet, distraction-free environment to ensure a productive learning experience.

Integrity: Do not share your account with any other person.

Confidentiality: Do not share or publish personal information about your trainer.

Lawful Use: Use the Service only for lawful purposes.

Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in a warning, immediate termination of a session, or suspension or termination of your account without a refund, at Lado's sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All training materials, processes, curricula, documents, and content provided by Lado ("Lado Materials") are the exclusive property of Lado Management Consultants, Ltd. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Lado Materials for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

You can opt to have your sessions recorded using Google Meet. These video recordings and any associated "Learning Logs" created during your sessions will be shared with you for your personal review and use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, or publicly display these recordings or materials.

7. Technical Requirements and Issues

You are responsible for having a stable internet connection, a functioning webcam, and a microphone. If a session is disrupted due to your technical failure or poor internet connection, the session time will not be compensated or refunded. If a session is significantly disrupted due to a technical failure on Lado's end or on the Google Meet platform, a full new session will be credited to your account.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Taiwan, R.O.C. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court in the first instance.
