1. Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide: We collect your name, email address, and mobile phone number when you register for an account.

Session and Usage Data: We collect information about your interaction with our Service, including your session schedule, progress, and communications with us. To improve your learning experience, your needs assessment will be transcribed, and you can opt to have your live sessions recorded via Google Meet. We also collect content you create in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.) as part of your coursework, such as your "Learning Log."

Technical Information: We may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, and operating system when you visit our website.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, and maintain our Service.

To process your payments and manage your account.

To communicate with you about your sessions and provide customer support.

For Service Improvement and Personalization: We use your needs analysis transcript and your work in Learning Logs for quality assurance and to allow our AI systems to analyze your progress and help develop adaptive, personalized lesson plans.

For your personal review of past sessions.

With your permission, to send you marketing communications about our products and services.

To generate aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and marketing insights.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with the following parties:

Lado Employees: Our trainers and administrative staff (who are direct employees) will have access to your information to provide the Service.

Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who perform services for us, such as Google (for Google Workspace) and our payment gateway processor. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data in Taiwan and Japan only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Our retention periods are determined by the status of your account and your marketing preferences.

Session & Learning Data: We store session recordings and associated learning materials (such as Learning Logs) for a period of one (1) year after the date of your final completed session with us. This data is then securely deleted.

Inactive Accounts (Without Marketing Consent): If you have not consented to receive marketing communications from us, we will fully anonymize your account profile information (such as your name, email, and mobile number) two (2) years after your final completed session.

Accounts With Marketing Consent: If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, we will retain the necessary contact information (your name, email, and/or LINE ID) to send you these communications, even after your account becomes inactive. We will retain this information until you withdraw your consent (e.g., by unsubscribing).

Once you unsubscribe, your account will then be subject to our standard inactive account policy, and your contact information will be fully anonymized two (2) years from the date you unsubscribed, unless you become an active user again.

You may, at any time, request the closure of your account and the removal of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@lado.com.tw. Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete your session and learning data and fully anonymize your account profile information.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to:

- Inquire about or review your personal data.

- Request a copy of your personal data.

- Request to supplement or correct your personal data.

- Request that we stop collecting, processing, or using your personal data.

- Request that we delete your personal data.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Where AI is used to support the development of materials or reporting, your data will never be used to train AI models.
